Lincmaster Plant Security
Leg Lok
A proven positive method of preventing the drive-away theft of Backhoes and Lorry Mounted Cranes fitted with stabiliser legs. The Leg-Lock - Lincmaster's proven 'Thief Stopper' for Backhoes and Lorry Mounted Cranes locks the stabiliser leg to the ground preventing drive away theft. This can also permanently provide driven plant with the differing key system that Health and Safety regulations and the Home Office are coming to require.
Due to 10 years of unqualified success and its permanent nature major Insurers offer substantial Premium discounts and greatly reduced Excess values year on year for machines to which the Lincmaster Leg-Lock is fitted. These savings far outstrip the modest cost of positively securing your valuable equipment.
The strength of manufacture and design is such that it can withstand all manners of attack. It does not rely upon hydraulics or electronics being completely mechanical in operation. Originally designed by an experienced plant engineer this fully serviceable unit is robustly constructed from solid steel with a hardened steel locking bolt and at its heart is an extremely strong and reliable radial locking mechanism with over one million key variations.
Made permanently part of the machine, the Leg-Lock, when activated, automatically engages when the stabiliser / jack leg reaches a pre-determined position i.e. when the wheel of the Backhoe Loader is approximately 75mm off the ground. Similar operation is utilised when fitted to Lorry Mounted Cranes (Atlas etc.) except that the leg is locked to the ground without raising the wheel. The effect in all cases is the positive prevention of 'Drive-Away' theft.
Most OEM Dealers will undertake fitting, however, the permanent fitting of the Lincmaster Leg-Lock to your machine takes less than 60 minutes and simply involves drilling a 40mm hole and welding the unit in place (complete fitting instructions are provided as standard). Thereafter it is so easy to use, taking only seconds to activate / de-activate, that operators have no excuse for leaving the equipment unsecured.
